Here Goes Nothing

Original painting

Here Goes Nothing captures the moment when thinking gives way to movement.

A turquoise figure stretches across two contrasting fields of pale peach and dark grey. Its flowing, fragmented shapes bring movement to the composition, while the textured surface gives the restrained colours a tactile presence.

There is something playful in the leap, and something uncertain. The figure is suspended between two spaces, with its destination still unresolved.

He had considered every possible outcome. None of them particularly reassuring.

He jumped anyway.
