30-Day Return Policy
I want you to be happy with the artwork you purchase.
Harri Tarkka Art offers a 30-day return policy for eligible online purchases. You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason.
This policy applies to original artworks and art prints from the regular collection. Individually commissioned artworks may be subject to different conditions, explained below.
Returned artwork must be in its original condition and carefully packaged, preferably using the original packaging. Please include your order number or proof of purchase.
You may inspect the artwork as reasonably necessary to establish its nature and characteristics. If it has been handled beyond what is necessary, you may be responsible for any resulting reduction in value, to the extent permitted by law.
How to Request a Return

Include your order number and the item you wish to return.
You may also exercise your statutory right of withdrawal through the cancellation function provided on the website.
Please notify me of your return within 30 days of receiving your order and send the artwork back within 14 days of notifying me.
I will provide the return address and instructions for safely packaging and shipping the artwork.
Please contact me before shipping your return so that you have the correct return address and packaging instructions. This does not affect your statutory right to cancel.
Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for the direct shipping and packaging costs of ordinary returns, unless otherwise agreed.
Large original artworks may require specialist transport. Where an artwork cannot normally be returned by post, the applicable return cost or a reasonable estimate will be provided before purchase.
I recommend using a tracked shipping service and, for valuable artwork, appropriate shipping insurance.
If an item is defective, damaged or incorrect, return arrangements and costs will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
Original Artworks
Original artworks purchased from the regular collection are eligible for the 30-day return policy.
Please ensure that the artwork is securely packaged and protected during transport.
For large or particularly delicate paintings, contact me before arranging the return so that we can agree on a suitable shipping method.
Art Prints
Art prints purchased directly from Harri Tarkka Art's regular collection are covered by the 30-day return policy.
The fact that a print is produced after an order is placed, or that a customer selects a size from standard options, does not automatically remove the right of withdrawal.
Purchases made through the separate Printumo online store are subject to that store's applicable terms and mandatory consumer protection laws.
Commissioned Artworks
Artworks created specifically according to a customer's individual requirements or personal specifications may be excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal where the legal exception applies.
This may include individually designed and commissioned paintings created following discussions with the customer.
The artwork's specifications, price, payment terms, schedule and any applicable cancellation conditions will be agreed upon before work begins.
This exception does not affect your statutory rights if an artwork is defective or does not conform to the agreement.
Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items
If your artwork arrives damaged, is defective or you receive the wrong item, please contact me as soon as possible at:
Include your order number and, where possible, photographs of the artwork, the damage and the packaging.
Please keep the packaging until the issue has been resolved.
I will review the situation and arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. Depending on the circumstances, this may involve repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund.
You will not be charged return shipping costs for a valid claim concerning defective or incorrect goods.
Refunds
If you exercise your right to cancel, your refund will be issued without undue delay and no later than 14 days after I receive your cancellation notice.
However, I may withhold the refund until I have received the returned item or you have provided evidence that you have sent it back.
The refund will include the purchase price and the original standard delivery charges. Additional charges for an upgraded delivery method are not refundable.
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.
No separate refund processing fee will be charged.
European Union Right of Withdrawal
Consumers in the European Union generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases.
The 30-day return policy offered by Harri Tarkka Art is an additional benefit and does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
Certain exceptions may apply, including goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised goods, where the relevant legal requirements are met.
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.
