A Beautiful Disagreement gives every colour something to say.
Broad passages of turquoise and deep blue meet restless layers of pink, red and yellow. Thick paint, translucent washes and scattered marks create a surface that moves between softness and interruption.
The painting brings colour and energy into a room. From a distance, its broad colour fields hold together; closer up, smaller gestures and unexpected encounters begin to emerge.
Everyone remembered it differently.
Blue insisted it had been a quiet afternoon. Pink had quite a lot to say. Yellow arrived late and made things worse.
Nobody agreed, but they stayed.
