Commissions
If you enjoy my paintings and would like a piece made especially for you, I’d be happy to hear your idea.
A commission might begin with an animal, a story, a place or simply a feeling. We can explore how that starting point could become a painting in my visual world, with its unusual creatures and their particular ways of living.
How it works
Email me at harri@harritarkka.com with a brief description of what you have in mind. Include the approximate size, your budget and any deadline. A photograph of the space where the painting will hang can also be helpful.
We’ll discuss the idea, materials, price and schedule before work begins. I’ll then develop a sketch for us to review and agree on the direction of the painting.
Each commission leaves room for discoveries along the way. That is often where the character of the work begins to emerge.
